Freedom from disease in psoriasis is all about giving the patient an equal say in what it means to be disease free.
This matters because it’s only by bringing together the voices of doctors, nurses, and their patients that a fuller understanding of what it means to be “free” from psoriasis is possible.
In a recent study, a large group of patients, doctors and nurses helped build a consensus about what freedom from disease looks like in psoriasis.[1] They identified five core domains that need to be addressed for freedom from disease to be achieved:
